Chesterfield BioGas

Compressed biogas is the fuel which has no negative effects on the environment.

Now Chesterfield BioGas offers a complete system for the upgrade, storage and dispensing of energy − efficient biogas in the form of naturally generated biomethane.

Chesterfield BioGas is a trading name of Chesterfield Special Cylinders Limited − a company with more than a century of experience in gas containment and handling technology. This expertise will be put to use to provide the most effectively engineered system, from raw biogas input through to the fuel dispenser.

In conjunction with Greenlane™ Chesterfield BioGas can offer a process to upgrade the raw untreated biogas into biomethane similar in composition to CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), which is suitable for fuelling public service vehicles, coaches, taxis, passenger cars and even trains.

The biomethane output from this system can also be fed directly into the gas grid network. Where it is not possible to generate biogas naturally, we can take CNG from the domestic grid, compress, store and dispense it in the same way.

Many so called ‘biofuels’ − such as biodiesel and bioethanol − have a detrimental effect on the environment and have driven up food prices. Not so with biogas, which may be generated entirely from waste organic material.
